Taking place this September 30th and organised by Green is the New Black, the Green Warriors Exhibition (launching at PARKROYAL in Pickering) features a stunning collection of 30 Singaporean eco-heroes, consciously-driven music and a special Pescatarian menu (plus wine) that all combine in a celebration of oneness, and of our connection with the world that surrounds us.

Every innovation carries a cost, but if there’s one we most often overlook is the environmental one. Green Warriors Exhibition praises the efforts of people that go a step beyond “staying clean” and fight to change their respective industries towards the best interests of our environment.

While we don’t know the full list of Green Warriors, we are already impressed by some of the personalities we know made their way into this list:

Olivia Tan, Singaporean influencer and co-founder of The Good Market, where she modernises conscious living and empowers women to obtain a holistic and healthy lifestyle.

Rade Padit, who promotes sustainable fashion in Singapore and beyond with Swapaholic and Connected Threads Asia.

Sandra Marichal, whom with Up2Degrees, is charging head-first into climate change by targeting air-conditioner usage in Singapore with a simple request: up the temperature, 2 degrees before the Antartica (and in turn, us) feels the consequences.

The acclaimed photographers behind the Warriors’ shots are Flavien Prioreau, featured in magazines like Rolling Stone and who works with celebrities such as Diplo and Karlie Kloss; and Zoe Kovacs, whose creativity in portrait-making captures the strength and beauty of her clients. The event includes the musical styling of Sek Sheng, AKA DJ Foo, the “doctor” that prescribes aural medication and heals us with hypnotic, conscious-driven electronic tunes.

PARKROYAL is handpicking the Pescatarian menu on Pickering’s own Executive Chef, Eric Ong. He’s known for dishes such as his signature “Baked Tilapia Filet in Carta Fata”, which he presented at a recent conscious initiative and impressed the audience with his masterful use of local ingredients.

Guest attending Green Warriors can also experience a refreshing stroll on the Chef’s spices and herb garden, cultivated by PARKROYAL’s culinary brigade for use in their signature restaurant, LIME.

Wine comes from the hands of Vino Mofo, who focus on promoting sustainable wine business culture. In their own words, they are “uniting a tribe” with their love of wine and food, and the results are delicious drinks that bring food alive and leave you with a smile on every sip.

This exhibition not only celebrates the often unsung heroes of sustainable businesses, but also marks the official launch of Green is the New Black, an online platform that aims to be the leading network of conscious-preneurs and thought leaders from all Asia, and empowers individuals with the tools and inspiration to become catalysts for environmental change.

Join this launch and exhibition combo this September 30th at 6:30pm – but do note, it’s invite-only, which means you need to contact the organisers beforehand. The exhibition, however, will stay for the public to enjoy all October 1st.
