We’re finally in the season of the summer sun, heat and most importantly, vacations. We’ve already made a handy list of the best places to travel to if you’re in Asia, but this time we’ll be taking a more general look at the best places to go to all around the world if you want a good time this summer.

For that, we’ve taken a look at the best locations offered by two favourite sites, Pinterest and Airbnb. Pinterest allows travellers to record their adventures and gives people a great way to rule out any potential vacation sites. On the other end of the spectrum, Airbnb offers a service for people to find a place to stay at any location at a reasonable price.

It’s no surprise that these two essential services joined forces to create a list of the best sites for people to go to, and today we bring that list over to you.

Either of these places is ideal for a quick vacation either by yourself or with your family, and we’re sure you’ll get to have a ton of new experiences

Courchevel, France

High in the French Alps, away from the sprawling city of Paris, stands Courchevel, a ski resort that offers a perfect view of the mountains as well as the best ski vacation you can ask for. If you want to spend some time away from the city and enjoy some well-natured skiing, then this place is perfect for you.

Kyoto, Japan

Few places can compare to Kyoto when it comes to embodying that traditional Japanese feeling. It’s a city that’s stood the tests of time on countless occasions and became not just an important town in Japan but throughout the world. With numerous ancient shrines that highlight the peak of Japanese tradition to beautiful castles and forests, Kyoto offers a cultural experience that’ll keep you busy during your stay.

Santorini, Greece

There are culture and great architecture to be found all over Greece, but no place offers the beautiful beaches and a place to relax as much as Santorini. It embodies what everyone thinks of when they imagine the beaches of Greece, right next to the sea and offering a panoramic view once the sun sets.

Reykjavik, Iceland

Reykjavik has become popular in the last few years, becoming the city that anyone looking to visit Iceland wants to go to, with a lot of people choosing to stop there on their way to other European countries. The town is comfortable and shows just a bit of everything that makes Iceland great so mark it as a spot.

Sharm El Sheik, Egypt

Egypt starts at the top of culturally familiar countries, with many sights and ancient temples on its own. But while Egypt is seen as a hot country, it has some great beaches to go with it that guests can go to for scuba-diving or other types of water activities.

Scottish Highlands, Scotland

There’s nothing like the beautiful hills and mountains of Scotland if you want a place separate from everything else. You won’t have to worry about the cold as much as in the French Alps either. Fans of hiking and some traditional Scottish whisky will love everything that this mountainous area has to offer.

Bora Bora, Polynesia

Bora Bora is one of those countries that people can’t help but think up when the subject of a vacation comes up. If you’ve just tied the knot and want a place to spend your honeymoon or if you and your significant other want to have some time to relax then the beaches of Bora Bora are a good place to start.

Tenerife, Canary Islands

Tenerife is a Spanish Island just off the coast of Africa and stands as common spots for many European travellers. If you want a place to stay out in the sun and take in the wonders of a Spanish-like experience.

New York City, NY

If you want to take a vacation in a big city, then New York is one you should try out. The city is renowned all around the world as one of the cities that never sleeps, with everything to offer in regards to art, music, culture and food. Just make sure to pack well and watch out for the crowded streets.

Barcelona, Spain

So, we can start talking about Barcelona by mentioning the fact that they’re trying to find a way to have fewer people go there. It offers the reach Catalan culture along with some artistic and renowned architecture and buildings that have stood the test of time.

Match that up with the warm weather, achieve variety in food and an easy way to get around the city and you have one of the best, if not the best, place to go for a vacation.
