With the summer season just around the corner, the need to look fab and be fit is higher than ever. Luckily, we’ve got Singapore’s Fittest, Gladys Leong, to share with us some of her fitness tips to make sure that you’ve got the beach bod that you want!

Q: It is no secret that you work out a lot. Do you recommend other people to work out as often as you do, too?

They can but it really depends on their schedules. A good number of workout days for working adults will be three times a week of weight training and twice a week of cardio.

Q: Being fit and healthy doesnt always mean exercising, but also being attentive of what you eat.  What would you advice people on how they should balance diet and exercise?

Yes! Diet is 80% Workout 20% to get the results. One doesn’t need to eat very clean like boiled chicken breast and boiled vegetables. Those are more of a competition prep meal. Clean food simply means less sodium, sugar oil and fats.
