What is Fashion’s Night Out (FNO)?
According to their Facebook page:
Fashion’s Night Out (FNO) is an unprecedented global initiative created in 2009 to celebrate fashion, restore consumer confidence, boost the industry’s economy, and put the fun back in shopping. For the past two years, in New York City and cities around the world, designers, celebrities, models, and fashion editors staged exciting, one-of-a-kind events in stores open after-hours to the public. Shoppers mingled with bold-faced names such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Michael Kors, Oscar de la Renta, Halle Berry, Diddy, and Gwen Stefani, just to name a few. Retailers saw a surge of new shoppers and increased sales, while customers relished the street-party atmosphere. In 2010, FNO expanded its efforts to include NYC’s largest ever public fashion show, a CBS Special, and the participation of stores in more than 100 cities across the USA, and added three more international locations for a total of sixteen countries around the globe.
From Manhattan to Milan, Atlanta to Australia, the after-hours shopping extravaganza Fashion’s Night Out is back!
