It’s the time for ‘Love’ again. Valentine’s is fast approaching and we’re sure all you lovers out there are starting to prepare to give the special gift for that special someone. But do you guys know that Valentine’s day started with a pagan celebration practiced by the Romans (Or so they say)? It has definitely come a long way from its weird humble beginnings.
What’s important is that now, it is accepted as a day for couples, or just people in love, or even for people longing to be inlove. It’s celebrated by giving presents and among the all time favourites are candies, flowers, and small gifts that make the heart flutter a bit; and of course by going into a romantic date with your significant other.
Coming out for the perfect gift is not as easy as it sounds though. One of the local designers in Singapore, Al & Alicia came up with “Shades of LOVE,” promotion for Valentine’s day. They put together a list of special things you can give (or get) on this special day.

1. Nail Polish. This one, you might want to gift yourself with. Just to make sure that you’re prepared for your Valentine’s date. That means you’ll have to get it in advance.
2. Rayon Twill Blazer. It’s best if you have a lot of plain dresses where you can use this to make the look a bit formal for those official events that you have to go to.
3. Dior Oui Gold Ring. It’s a bit expensive but it’s all worth it. Just looking at it would make you feel loved.
4. The Boardwalk Brogue. It’s men’s wear inspired but the color makes it so fitting for those girls that are not a fan of high heels and you can use it in a nice picnic with your hubby as well.
5. Mulberry bag. Need we say more? The question really here is, why wouldn’t it be in the list?!
6. Mr. Shorts, Dusty Coral. This is among Al & Alicia’s collection and we think this is just oh-so cute.
7. NARS blush. You want to be in tune with the loving spirit this valentine’s day. Show up in a date with a soft and natural glow wearing this blush.
8. AA Tee. Another one of Al & Alicia’s designs. It’s not for a date, but something you can wear while shopping with your girlfriends for the perfect dinner dress.
9. Mesh Leggings. It’s difficult not to imagine how comfortable the soft rayon spandex leggings would make you feel. Don one and feel luxurious.
There you have it. Some things that you can take away for this Valentine’s day and add up to the atmosphere of loving and being loved.
