Kate Moss and Slithery Creature in Balmain’s Video Ad

Back in August, Balmain featured Kate Moss slumped on a leather couch wearing tight pants and sequined top, for their Fall/Winter ad campaign.

The clothes are still available for purchase, so the label released a video version of the ad to keep the enthusiasm going towards the collection. The video, as well as the Ad campaign last August was made by Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. There are mix reactions on the video (like there isn’t in anything).

The whole video was taken from the photo shoot of the ad campaign, taken from different angles. It depicts Moss from behind as she wriggles around on the couch in different reclining poses.

After some time, some kind of slithery creature appears, and takes a cigarette right out of Moss’s mouth. The creature also shows fondness for Moss’s thighs. Basically, the creature seems obsessed with Moss. Some say the video is glamorous; some say it doesn’t really do much. You can go look for yourself and decide which one you’re leaning towards.
